Used for anti-corrosion and welding primer of steel, New SS-COAT 909 is an air dry coating which is one component combined with high purity metal powders and denatured Alkyd resin. NEW SS-COAT 909 shows impressive performance in rust prevention. NEW SS-COAT 909 continues to be the best option for rust prevention, when the anti-rusting target is too large and complex-shaped to do galvanize. NEW SS-COAT 909 is brighter silver than SS-COAT 909.
 

Excellent anti-rusting

New SS-COAT 909 is a coating agent developed by using high quality particle silver zinc powder.

It protects metal surface by way of electric anti-rusting similar to that of silver zinc galvanizing.

Highest cohesion

Epoxy resin with high adhesion to iron and other metals is used, with high cohesion.

Good heat resistance

Endurable for more than 1 year.

※ For coating piece thickly, please apply repeatedly to maximize rust preventing effect, (Repeat application after dry). There is change according to environment, but rust preventing effect continues approximately 1 ~ 2 years.

Uses:

• Anti-rusting of steel materials and structures.

(Bridge, steel-barred window, iron railing, automobiles, railway car, container, freezer car, agricultural machine, transportation machine, civil engineering machine, tanks, vessel pipe)

• Maintenance and substitution of zinc galvanizing and metalicone.

• Welding primer for steel materials.

• Substitution of zinc galvanizing, and maintenance coating of damaged coating.

• Finish coating like zinc galvanizing.

How to use:

Pretreatment

Remove red rust or mill scale from the steel surface by using sand blast, shot blast or pickling. When oil, dust and moisture are adhered, cohesion of coating agent decreases. Degreasing and drying are required.

How to coat

Spray method (aerosol product)

- Shake it well for about 1 minute before spraying

- Spray it to pretreated applied surface evenly.

- Apply it about 30cm away from applied surface.

- Thin application over several times is more effective than one-time thick application.

Air gun method (Bulk products)

- Spray it to pretreated applied surface in the same way as ordinary paints.

Brush method (Bulk products)

- Apply it evenly to pretreated applied surface.

- Apply it in the same direction to prevent brush marks

Cautions:

• Stir it well.

• Long-time coating makes zinc powder sedimented. Stir it well and use it evenly.

• Do not use it in acidic or alkaline environment or in the area wetted by acid solution.

(Coat chemical-resistant coating material as upper coating)

• Do not use it to the area digested continuously by hot water(above 40℃) for a long time.

• When heating facility process exists, heat and dry it for more than 20 minutes at 100℃ to use it as film forming primer.

• To keep aerosol can unused for a long-time, stand it upside down and spray it till no more liquid is discharged to make jet orifice unblocked.

• This is dangerous inflammable product that uses the high-pressure gas and make sure to keep the following cautions.

1. Do not use toward the flame.

2. Do not use near to inflammable area including furnace, wind blower and others.

3. Do not use inside where the fire equipment is used.

4. Do not keep it in a place of temperature for 40℃ or more.  

5. Implement air circulation after using in closed indoor.  

6. Do not throw it into fire.

7. Dispose without remaining gas by placing the holes on the empty container.

8. Do not keep it in closed area.

9. Spray may not be good under the temperature of 5℃ or below.

10. Absolutely do not expose to the direct sunray.
